The Covid-19 Lockdown

The COVID-19 lockdowns reshaped work dynamics, ushering in a new era of remote work. As offices closed to safeguard health, many of us found ourselves working from home, navigating a blend of professional and personal spheres.
This shift brought about a paradigm change, redefining traditional notions of workspace and collaboration. Virtual meetings, digital communication tools, and remote project management became the new norm, allowing teams to stay connected despite physical distances.

This project specifically targets remote workers in the creative industry.

The Creative Industry

This dynamic sector, spanning design, film, advertising, and gaming domains,
thrives on the fusion of diverse talents to shape transformative works.

“I don’t want to lose the flexibility and comfort that comes with working from home.”

““There’s a lack of integration between our tools. I wish there was one universe for project management, collaboration, file and data storage, customer resource management,
and communication. It’s a software overload right now.”

“Only verbal communication isn’t enough.
I have to share a visual to ensure the developer understood what I meant.”

“Now that I think about it, meeting in the corridors or near vending machines was a great way to make contacts, relieve stress and also a great source of ideas!”

“Time consuming: simple discussions take more time, someone doesn’t reply, is busy, you need images, videos, to explain complex things, connection issues.
When there are no expressions/ faces involved the video call feels dead”

Industries where success is contingent upon fostering creativity and collaboration, are highly dependent on internal relationships.

While online short-term productivity may go
up, long-term productivity will likely go down.

“While working on-site, my concentration and energy is high from the time I enter the building.
It’s a slow and sleepy start when I work from home because I usually wake up 15 mins before it’s time to sign in. By the time I am done with my morning routine, I’ve already lost a little more than an hour. I am focused and alert mid-day, when closing time is near and a certain amount of work has to be completed before signing off.”
